Summer Group Show
August occupies a liminal, mysterious space in nature. It is the peak of summer's heat, yet it holds the hidden, quiet descent into autumn. In antiquity, this was the month of the harvest, extreme weather, and the rising of the Dog Star (Sirius), which ancient cultures believed brought on "dog days" of madness, fever, and strange animal behaviors.
